Economy II & Standard (images at left)
The Economy II, as its name implies, is the lowest cost “antique style” lightning rod. Starting in 2002, it has been modified to include a 3 1/2” glass ball, as most people prefer it over a plastic ball. The “Economy II” consists of the following parts:

  • “Shell” point 5/8” copper tube rod,  30” tall, with cable coupler
  • 18” Galvanized brace or “washer stand”, and Two Ball Rings
  • 3 1/2” glass ball with caps attached - your choice of color (add $4 for red)
  • With aluminum “standard” arrow weather vane, as shown: $90
  • Additional “Economy” lightning rods without arrow weather vane: $65 each

Standard
The Standard, as its name indicates, is what most people think of when you mention an antique style lightning rod. The “Standard” consists of the following:

  • “Shell” point 5/8” copper tube rod,  36” tall, with standard cable coupler

  • 24” Galvanized brace or “washer stand”, and Two Ball rings

  • Either Opaque white or Opaque light blue 4 1/2” glass ball with caps attached

  • With cast copper-bronze “moon and star” arrow weather vane, as shown: $190

  • With cast aluminum “moon and star” arrow weather vane (not shown): $100

  • Additional “Standard” lightning rods without arrow weather vane$70 each

Standard XL
Same as above, except with a 60” rod and 36” galvanized brace.  Add $28 to each of the above three prices for the “XL” version.

Classic (images at left)
The “Classic” old time lightning rod is what you see from time to time where people wanted a little more than the ‘standard’ lightning rod set up. Sometimes people would put only one “Classic” lightning rod on their building, and have the others be “standard” rods. The “Classic” consists of the following:

·         “Shell” point 5/8” copper tube rod,  48” tall

·         Roof clamp type cable coupler, as shown in photo

·         30” Solid copper brace or stand, and Two ball rings

·         Colored 4 1/2” glass ball with caps installed - your choice of color (red is $5 extra)

·         Your choice of: Aluminum Glass Tail arrow, with glass color of your choice for $140 or a Weather vane animal: Horse, Cow, Rooster, Hog, or Sheep  for $155

Additional “Classic” lightning rods, without weather vane or glass tail arrow, otherwise the same as the above. $100

Classic XL
Same as above, except with a 60” rod and 36” solid copper brace. Add $45 to each of the above three prices for the “XL” version.

 Premium II
The “Premium” lightning rod, shown in the photo is one that you see only rarely. The “Premium” lightning rod assembly consists of the following:

  • 5/8” Copper tube rod,  48” tall with a Bayonet Tip

  • Roof clamp type cable coupler

  •  30” Solid copper brace or stand and Two Ball Rings

  • “Sharp Pleat” colored glass ball with caps installed - your choice of color

Roof Edge Connectors...
are shown in the lower right hand of the photo of the Limited Edition. These are used at roof edges, so that the lightning protection system or cable can be disconnected and removed for  re-roofing, or re-siding the house. Lightning protection hardware is a real pain when it comes time to re-roof or re-side a house if edge connectors are not used. They are also handy to add to existing systems to make roofing etc. easier. They are cast copper-bronze with two stainless steel bolts and nuts. Also available in aluminum. Made on original tooling.

Copper: $15 per pair   -Part # 2201
Aluminum:
$13 per pair   -Part # 2233
